Summary

Removing the indicators

First, we need to remove the indicators. If they are stock indicators, they’ll have a threaded stalk going through the frame with a nut on the side. Make sure you disconnect the wires, then undo the bolt and feed the wiring through the hole.

Undoing the fender

Next, we have a 13mm bolt going through the arm support, then through the rear fender. If yours is stock, you’ll have a chrome cover that you’ll have to remove to get the bolt. If it doesn’t come free, make sure you remove any washers and rubber grommets and see if there’s an extra nut holding it in place.

There is another set of bolts on either side towards the seat, just on the inside of the shock absorbers/rear suspension.  These ones go from the inside through the frame.  When this is out, the fender should slide out.
